Cleveland Clinic And Korn Ferry Collaborate To Offer Global Healthcare Leadership Development Program For Physicians, Executives

To better prepare for the rapidly changing pace and activity in the healthcare industry, Cleveland Clinic and Korn Ferry (NYSE: KFY) have collaborated on a program to educate and train tomorrow’s physician-leaders and healthcare executives.

The two American organizations are working together to offer a new approach to healthcare leadership development programs. The focus will be on training and developing healthcare leaders who will challenge their organizations to think and act differently. The goal is to cultivate a strong, supportive organizational culture that increases performance, engagement and retention.

“This partnership combines healthcare expertise with leadership development experience to develop strategic healthcare leaders for the future,” said Greg Button, Korn Ferry President, Global Healthcare Services. “By combining our knowledge and experience, we will offer training and development to prepare healthcare leaders for the evolving demands of the industry.”

This collaborative program will provide coaching, training and consulting services to physician-leaders and other healthcare leaders in the United States and throughout the world. It will be delivered by seasoned leaders from Korn Ferry and Cleveland Clinic. The program will help participants develop a stronger sense of who they are and what they bring to the organization, helping to accelerate flexibility, innovation and a new approach to leadership in a world impacted by the pandemic.

After program completion, participants will be prepared to:

  • Break out of their comfort zones and interrupt default “auto-pilot” leadership responses
  • Develop a practice of empathy in order to connect with others
  • Communicate and listen, build trust, mentor and coach others
  • Examine professional relationships and grow a circle of influence
  • Establish strategies to support change and lead through times of crisis
  • Anticipate what lies ahead with an eye toward fostering growth

The program will run for three-to-four-months for each cohort. That schedule will allow for faster adoption and implementation of the learnings. Participants will receive Continuing Medical Education credits for participating in the program.

“Cleveland Clinic has a 100-year history of developing healthcare leaders,” said William Peacock, Cleveland Clinic’s Chief of Operations and executive sponsor of this new leadership development program. “We are excited for the opportunity to bring our experience to others here in the U.S. and abroad.”
